The cancer of blood is commonly known as Leukemia. Cancer is a form of mutation i.e, cells of a specific area start to grow and divide into new cells. This mutation of blood cells is known as Leukemia. It can originate in the blood as well as the bone marrow. Types: Non-Hodgkin Lymphoma (NHL): is a blood cancer that develops in the lymphatic system from cells called lymphocytes. Lymphocytes are the main type of immune cells (white blood cells), that help our body fight infections. Hodgkin Lymphoma: is a blood cancer that develops in the lymphatic system from cells called lymphocytes. SDMC procures sanitary napkin vending machines under CSR for public toilets

  The South Delhi Municipal Corporation (SDMC) has taken a new initiative for making the public toilets in the West Zone more hygienic and functional. SDMC has decided to install facilities like sanitary napkin vending machines, napkin incinerator machines, hand dryers, and rubber mats in public toilets. Under the Corporate Social Responsibility (CSR), Synergy Steel Ltd provided 15 sanitary napkin vending machines, 10 napkin incinerator machines, 20 hand dryers, and 300 rubber mats and Century Plywoods (I) Ltd has provided 20 sanitary napkins vending machines, 10 napkin incinerator machines and 28 hand dryers for public toilets in West Zone. The initiative was taken to improve SDMC’s ranking in Swachh Sarvekshan 2021 and to get ODF++ certificate. Social media bails out 74-year-old auto driver from acute poverty

  Nowadays, social media has become the most powerful tool to help someone. Almost everybody uses social media to consume and share content. Everything goes viral on social media like pawri, shweta etc. Now, a 74-year-old auto driver Deshraj is in the thick of things and social media has come to his rescue to bail him out from poverty and struggles of daily life. Incidentally, people took note of his troublesome situation and donated generously for him. With the help of a crowd funding initiative, Rs 24 lakh was collected and the cheque was handed over to the auto driver. It was the intiative of Humans of Bombay, who shared a post of Deshraj earlier. Humans of Bombay had shared the driver’s video with some ’pawri’ twist on Instagram reels. 20 sick elephants retired from Amer Fort; FIAPO appreciates

  The Federation of Indian Animal Protection Organisation (FIAPO), World Animal Protection India and Wildlife Rescue and Rehabilitation Centre (WRRC) appreciated the decision of retiring 20 ailing elephants from rides at Amer Fort in Jaipur. These organisations protect the rights and interests of animals at the local and national level. The decision was made by the forest department of Rajasthan. Following veterinary inspections of the elephants in July 2020, the department declared that on medical and moral grounds, the sickest and unfit animals should no longer be used for entertainment purposes, which is a progressive step forward. Delhi: RTPCR test report to be made mandatory for travellers of five states

  In a meeting of the Delhi Disaster Management Authority (DDMA), the experts discussed rising coronavirus cases in five states and asked for a policy to check travellers from those states. The travellers from states – Mahararashtra, Kerala, Chhattisgarh, Madhya Pradesh and Punjab – will have to furnish their RTPCR test report before embarking on a journey to the national capital. Their test reports should not be older than 72 hours prior to the commencement of journey. At present, the coronavirus situation is under control in Delhi. But the authority does not want to take any chances with the rising Covid cases in the five states. As per sources, the DDMA may issue an order soon in this regard. It will be mandatory for the travellers coming on airlines, trains and buses to furnish the negative RTPCR test report before starting the journey.
